Descripción:Cis-4-Methylcyclohexylamine is a cyclic amine that is found in the form of its decarboxylated derivative, 4-methylcyclohexanamine, which is used as an inhibitor for various enzymes. The methyl group on the cyclohexane ring is responsible for the compound's activity. Magnetic resonance spectroscopy has shown that cis-4-Methylcyclohexylamine binds to the active site of carbonyl reductase and inhibits its enzymatic activity, thereby blocking a step in the citric acid cycle. Cis-4-Methylcyclohexylamine has also been shown to have anti-inflammatory effects by inhibiting protein kinase C (PKC) and NFkB activation.
