Descripción:4-(4-Methylpiperazinomethyl)benzoic acid, dihydrochloride (4MPBH-DHC) is an organic molecule with a dihedral angle of about 120°. It is the hydrochloride salt of 4-(4-methylpiperazinomethyl)benzoic acid, which has a carbonyl group and a piperazine group. When 4MPBH-DHC is dissolved in water, it reacts with hydrogen chloride to form hydrochloric acid and water. This reaction can be used to recycle hydrogen chloride gas into chlorine gas for use in the chlorination of drinking water.
