The activation energy of this compound is high at 93 kcal/mol and it has been found to react with dimethylformamide (DMF) in the reaction mechanism. 4-Methylsulphonylaniline has also been shown to inhibit the growth of tumor cells in mice by inhibiting DNA synthesis.
