Descripción:Methyl benzoate is a natural compound found in plants, which is synthesized by the methylation of benzoic acid. The reaction solution is heated to 100°C and methyl benzoate will be formed as a product. This reaction mechanism may be due to the intramolecular hydrogen transfer between the nitrogen atoms on adjacent carbon atoms. Methyl benzoate can be metabolized by methyl transferase to produce oleanonic acid and etoac extract, which has been shown to have anti-diabetic effects in animal models.
