Descripción:2-Methoxy-5-nitrophenol (2MNOP) is a compound that has been shown to inhibit the growth of bacteria in nutrient solutions by reducing the activity of glutamate pyruvate transaminase and pyridoxine hydrochloride. 2MNOP is a potent inhibitor of bacterial enzyme activities, such as neutral ph, hydrochloric acid, nitro, and toxicity studies. It is not active against eukaryotic cells or plants. The uptake of 2MNOP is enhanced by the presence of diamine tetraacetic acid and ethylene diamine. 2MNOP has also been shown to be effective against multi-walled carbon nanotubes.
