Descripción

Mezlocillin is a semisynthetic penicillin antibiotic that is active against Gram-positive bacteria. This drug inhibits bacterial growth by binding to the enzyme cell wall synthesis, preventing the formation of an antibiotic-inhibitor complex with the enzyme cell wall synthesis that is required for cell wall biosynthesis. Mezlocillin has been shown to be effective against infectious diseases such as bowel disease and infectious diarrhea, but it does not work well against Gram-negative bacteria. Mezlocillin sodium also inhibits glucose production in certain types of bacteria. It is potent inducers of the immune system and may have some anti-inflammatory properties.
