C.I.Mordant Red 9 is a dye that can be used as a sealant and colorant in the liquid phase or as a thermally-curable coating. It is an amine reactive dye, which means it reacts with the amino groups on the surface of the polymer to form a covalent bond. The dye is also soluble in ammonium salt, which facilitates its application as a sealant. C.I.Mordant Red 9 can be used for making optocouplers because of its high extinction coefficient, which makes it ideal for sensing applications due to its high sensitivity to light and chemical changes.
