N-methyl-N-(3-((2-(2-oxoindolin-5-ylamino)-5-(trifluoromethyl)pyrimidin-4-ylamino)methyl)pyridin-2-yl)methanesulfonamide benzenesulf onate is a telomerase inhibitor that has been shown to inhibit the growth of cancer cells in vitro. This drug binds to the active site of telomerase and inhibits enzyme activity, which leads to decreased production of telomeres. Telomeres are repetitive DNA sequences at the end of chromosomes that are important for maintaining chromosomal stability. The optical properties of this drug have been studied using an optical system with a thin film. The optical system was designed by updating existing devices.
