Información del producto
- Phenol, 3-Methyl-5-Nitro-
3-Methyl-5-nitrophenol (3MP) is a chemical compound that has been shown to have an inhibitory effect on 2-methyl-6-nitrophenol (2MP). 3MP is photochemically active, and it can be extracted by phase extraction. It has also been shown to inhibit the mitochondria in animals. The molecular descriptors of 3MP are similar to those of 2MP, suggesting that it may have a similar mode of action. 3MP is not found naturally in the environment; instead, it is mainly produced by human activities such as combustion and vehicle exhaust. Nitrogen dioxide (NO2) emissions from fossil fuel combustion are converted into nitric oxide (NO), which reacts with oxygen to form NO2 and then NO3 radicals. The NO radicals react with ozone in the stratosphere to produce nitric acid, which leads to the formation of 3MP.
