2-Methanesulfonyl-4,6-dimethoxypyrimidine is an organic molecule that has been used as a pesticide. This reaction occurs in acidic conditions with monitoring by spectrophotometry or HPLC. The product has shown to be effective against human urine bacteria and may be useful in the development of antibiotics.
