Descripción:6-Methoxy-1-tetralone (6MTO) is a quinoline derivative that has been shown to have potent inhibitory activity against human liver cancer. It is related to the compound 1,4-dimethylquinoline, which has been shown to possess anticancer properties in vitro. 6MTO inhibits the growth of carcinoma cell lines by inducing apoptosis and arresting cell cycle at G2/M phase. 6MTO also inhibits isovaleric acid production in thp-1 cells and the proliferation of hepatoma cells, leading to a decrease in the viability of these cells.
