3-Methyl-5-(trifluoromethyl)-1H-pyrazole is a synthetic compound that contains a fluorine atom. It has an isomeric structure and belongs to the group of fluorine compounds. 3-Methyl-5-(trifluoromethyl)-1H-pyrazole has been used as an agrochemical for the control of weeds and pests in agricultural crops. This compound was also found to be effective against benzene, which can be used in the synthesis of other compounds. The deprotonation of 3-methyl-5-(trifluoromethyl)-1H pyrazole was studied using X-ray diffraction data, as well as various strategies, including acidic and basic conditions. The functional theory was applied to study the reactivity of this molecule in order to understand its mechanism of action.
