The chemical structure of N-methylpyridin-3-amine is similar to amines, which are neutral molecules that form hydrogen bonding interactions when they bind to other molecules or molecular fragments. N-Methylpyridin-3-amine also binds with nitrous oxide, forming an unstable compound that decomposes into nitrogen gas and water.
