Descripción:
3-(Methylthio)benzaldehyde is a molecule that can be used in the preparation of mandelic acid. It has been shown to inhibit the activity of lipase, an enzyme that breaks down fats. The cavity of 3-(methylthio)benzaldehyde has been studied by X-ray analysis and was found to have cationic character with silver ions. It also has functional groups that can be used for protein modification by enzymatic reactions.
