Descripción:Myrtenol is a natural compound that contains a hydroxyl group. Myrtenol's mechanism of action is based on its ability to react with the fatty acids in lipids and proteins in the bacterial cell wall, inhibiting their synthesis and causing cell death. Myrtenol has also been shown to inhibit the growth of bacteria by binding to the enzyme α-pinene synthase, which is involved in the production of terpenes. Myrtenol can be found in ganoderma lucidum, which is a mushroom that grows in China and Japan.
