Descripción:
4-Methoxybenzyl 2,2,2-trichloroacetimidate is a versatile reagent that is used to synthesize esters and amides. It can be used as a solvent in the synthesis of carboxylic acids, alcohols, and esters. 4-Methoxybenzyl 2,2,2-trichloroacetimidate can also be used as an acid catalyst for imidates. The compound has been shown to react with carboxylic acids and alcohols under mild conditions to yield esters or amides respectively. The compound is also reactive towards β-unsaturated carbonyl groups.
