Descripción:(R)-2-Methylpyrrolidine is a synthetic quaternary ammonium compound that is a reaction yield enhancer. It has been shown to have histamine-lowering effects in vitro and in vivo. The pharmacokinetic properties of (R)-2-Methylpyrrolidine are characterized by moderate distribution and elimination half-life times. It is also active at the h3 receptors, which may be related to its wake-promoting effects. (R)-2-Methylpyrrolidine has been shown to increase the levels of amines in the brain, which may be associated with its antidepressant activity. This drug also has environmental effects such as increasing the absorption of heavy metal ions such as lead and cadmium.
