Descripción:Methyl laurate is a natural compound that is used as a catalyst for chemical reactions. It has been shown to be an effective catalyst for the production of biodiesel from animal and vegetable fats. Methyl laurate also has catalytic properties, which have been studied in relation to biological systems, such as polymorphonuclear leucocytes, fatty acid synthase, and hydrogen fluoride. Methyl laurate can be synthesized by reacting an acid methyl ester with a fatty acid. This reaction produces methyl laurate, which can be purified by the use of solid phase microextraction.
