Información del producto
- 1,5-Naphthyridine, 2-Methyl-
2-Methyl-1,5-diazanaphthalene (2MD) is an active analogue of aurodox that has been shown to inhibit protein synthesis in bacteria. The hydroxyl group is crucial for the molecule's antibacterial activity, which may be due to its ability to form a ternary complex with the antibiotic thiostrepton and bacterial ribosomes. 2MD has been shown to have an inhibitory effect on cell growth in vitro, as well as on human pathogens such as Escherichia coli and Staphylococcus aureus. This molecule also exhibits anti-inflammatory activities, which may be due to its ability to alter fatty acid metabolism.
