3-[(4-Nitro-2,1,3-Benzoxadiazol-7-Yl)Amino]Propyl 8-Fluoro-5-Methyl-6-Oxo-4H-Imidazo[1,5a][1,4]Benzodiazepine 3Carboxylate (NBDPS) is a fluorescent benzodiazepine receptor ligand that has low detection limits. It is used in fluorescence measurement to study the interaction between drugs and the benzodiazepine receptor. This ligand has affinity for the benzodiazepine receptor and can be conjugated to other compounds to form fluorescent assays that are useful in determining binding of receptors. The dissociation constant of this ligand is reversibly high at 0.024 μM, which makes it a useful tool for ligand and receptor binding assays.
