Información del producto
- 3-Nitro-1-piperidinobenzene
1-(3-Nitrophenyl)piperidine is a regioisomer of piperidine. It has substituted the phenyl ring with a nitro group. The EC50 values for 1-(3-nitrophenyl)piperidine were found to be 0.0025 µM and 0.003 µM for infected and uninfected cells, respectively. Substituents on the ring increased the potency of 1-(3-nitrophenyl)piperidine in inhibiting chain elongation, while substituents on the amine group resulted in an increase in basicity that could lead to enhanced binding with basic groups on the DNA backbone. In addition, quinacrine is known to inhibit protein synthesis by interfering with RNA synthesis, which may provide a possible explanation for its effect as an anti-infective agent against human diseases such as scrapie and human T-cell leukemia virus type I (HTLV-I).
