N-1,3,4-Thiadiazol-2-ylacetamide (TATA) is a sulfonilamide that inhibits anhydrase. It has been shown to inhibit the formation of formic acid and carbon disulfide from formaldehyde, as well as the synthesis of ganglia and carbonic acid from CO2. TATA also has an inhibitory effect on the chloride ion channels in the cell membrane. TATA is structurally related to thiosemicarbazide and phenyl isothiocyanate.
