• Descripción: Dioxetane 12 is a hydroxy-containing compound that reacts with metal ions to produce chemiluminescence. Dioxetane 12 can be detected by chemiluminescent techniques, such as the use of a luminol-based reagent. The reaction mechanism of dioxetane 12 is similar to that of luminol in that it involves oxidation of a primary amine to an imine and subsequent release of hydrogen peroxide.
