2,3-Norbornanedicarboxylic acid is a carboxylic acid that has been used in the synthesis of polyesters and polyurethanes. It is a monomer for the production of nylon-6,6, which is resistant to oil and grease. 2,3-Norbornanedicarboxylic acid has shown potential as a hydrogenation agent. This compound can be activated by irradiation or heat and reacts with ethylene to produce propylene.
