Información del producto
1-Nitroso-4-phenylpiperidine is a nitrosamine that is mutagenic and carcinogenic. It is also chiral, which means it has two forms - the R form and the S form. The R form of 1-nitroso-4-phenylpiperidine (1NPP) is more potent than the S form in terms of carcinogenicity. 1NPP can be formed from nitrosamines such as 4-(methylnitrosamino)-1-(3-pyridyl)-1-butanone (NNK) or N'-nitrosonornicotine (NNN) through a reaction with pipecolic acid. This compound has been shown to cause DNA damage in hamster V79 cells and primary rat hepatocytes at dilutions of 1:100 and higher.
