• Descripción: 6-Nitro-2,3-dihydro-benzo[1,4]dioxine is an electrochemical corrosion inhibitor that can be used in the development of new techniques for the detection of molecules. It has been shown to have anti-cancer properties and to inhibit the activity of hydrolases. The mechanism of inhibition is not yet clear but may involve a transition state or functional groups on the molecule. 6-Nitro-2,3-dihydro-benzo[1,4]dioxine has also been shown to inhibit the activity of a number of enzymes, including phospholipase A2 and acetylcholinesterase. The compound binds reversibly to these enzymes and prevents them from carrying out their catalytic function.
