3-Nitrofluorenone is a synthetic organic molecule that is used as an intermediate in the production of other chemicals. It is used as a reagent in the synthesis of hydroxamic acids, and it can be used to prepare 3-nitrobenzenesulfonamide, which is a precursor to pharmaceuticals.
