(4-Nitrophenyl)phenylamine is an ionization technique used to measure the concentration of copper oxide in a sample. It is classified as a chemical ionization technique, which uses electron impact or chemical reactions to produce ions. The reactant gas is usually hydrogen chloride, and the reaction vessel is heated to produce an atomized spray of copper oxide particles that are then ionized. The copper oxide particles are collected on a solid phase microextraction fiber and then analyzed by measuring the amount of current between two electrodes.
