Descripción

Neochlorogenic acid is a polyphenol that may be found in plants. It has been shown to inhibit the proliferation of cancer cells and human gastrointestinal cells, inhibit the expression of proinflammatory mediators, and reduce oxidative stress. Neochlorogenic acid also has anti-inflammatory activities and can be used for the treatment of brain disease. Neochlorogenic acid binds to DNA and inhibits transcription by binding to response elements on DNA. This polyphenol also inhibits x-ray diffraction, which is an experimental method for studying crystal structures of materials.
