This drug also inhibits the replication of dna and can be used for the treatment of cancer. 7-Nitroindole-2-carboxylic acid binds to basic proteins and has a helical structure. The affinity constants for this compound have not been reported, but it is thought that hydrogen bonding interactions are involved in its binding.
