Descripción:2-(1-Naphthyl)-5-phenyloxazole is a fluorescent dye that emits light at a wavelength of 510 nm. It has been used in the detection of various compounds, such as monocarboxylic acids and enzyme inhibitors. 2-(1-Naphthyl)-5-phenyloxazole has also been used for wastewater treatment and radiation detection. The compound is soluble in organic solvents such as hexane, pentane, and toluene. The fluorescence intensity can be increased by increasing the pH or by adding an acid.
