Descripción:4-Nitrophenylnitroethene is an organic compound that is synthesized through a nitroaldol reaction. This process involves the condensation of nitric acid and phenylethyl alcohol. The product is then catalyzed with potassium carbonate to produce 4-nitrophenylnitroethene. Nitroaldol reactions are used to produce many different types of compounds, including pharmaceuticals, dyes, and fragrances. The synthesis of this compound was analyzed by high-resolution mass spectrometry and gas chromatography–mass spectrometry techniques. It was found that the mesoporous structure of the 4-nitrophenylnitroethene particles play a role in its chemical properties.
