Descripción:Octafluoronaphthalene is a fluorinated naphthalene. It is an x-ray crystallographic structure that has been shown to undergo nucleophilic substitution reactions with sodium carbonate. The reaction mechanism for this process involves the formation of a palladium-catalyzed coupling product, which then reacts with the octafluoronaphthalene substrate. Octafluoronaphthalene can be detected by UV absorption at about 300 nm and fluorescence emission at about 350 nm.
