• Descripción: 1-O-Octadecyl-2-O-acetyl-sn-glycero-3-phosphocholine (OGPC) is a phospholipid that has been shown to be an effective drug in the treatment of chronic arthritis. It is a potent antagonist of the inflammatory response, and has been shown to inhibit the production of inflammatory cytokines such as tumour necrosis factor alpha (TNFα). OGPC has been used in cell culture studies, which have shown that it inhibits IL2 receptor binding and TNFα release by human monocytes. Clinical studies have also shown that OGPC can be used to treat arthritis.
