Oxasulfuron inhibits the synthesis of epidermal growth factor and can cause hepatic steatosis. It also has an effect on hematologic response, which may be due to its ability to inhibit the production of inflammatory cytokines. Oxasulfuron is used for diagnostic purposes, such as determining the antimicrobial activity of antibiotics against infectious diseases.The analytical method for oxasulfuron detection involves enzyme activity inhibition and antimicrobial susceptibility testing. The matrix effect can be reduced by dispersing solid-phase extraction before analysis or by using a calibration curve.
