1-Acetamido-2,3-dihydro-5-(1,1,4-trimethylpentyl)naphthalene-2-carboxylic acid is a synthetic chemical compound with the molecular formula C12H14N2O3. It is an ester of 1-acetamido-2,3,5,6-tetrahydronaphthalene and acetic acid. The derivative 1-[(5′)-oxo]acetamidobenzene has been used as a substrate for the synthesis of various other compounds. Reduction of 1-[(5′)-oxo]acetamidobenzene with sodium borohydride and methanol in tetrahydrofuran yields 1-[(5′)-oxo]acetamidobenzene hydrochloride.
