Descripción:Ochromycinone is a strain of natural products that was found to be active against Gram-positive bacteria and fungi. It has been shown to inhibit the growth of test organisms in a dose-dependent manner, with an MIC of 10 μg/mL. Ochromycinone has also been shown to have anticancer activity in cell culture studies. This compound is synthesized by the asymmetric synthesis of dimethyl acetylenedicarboxylate (DMAD) and hydroxy group. The linker is then added to the hydroxyl group on the DMAD, forming a bond between the two molecules.
