• Descripción: 10-Oxo-10,11-dihydro-5H-dibenz[b,f]azepine (10ODHA) is a hydrolyzing agent that has been shown to be effective in the treatment of trigeminal neuralgia. It is also an amide that reacts with acidic compounds and forms cyanate; it may be used as a reagent for carbamazepine analysis. 10ODHA is insoluble in water but soluble in organic solvents such as ether. 10ODHA inhibits the enzyme monoamine oxidase, which leads to an increase in the levels of serotonin and norepinephrine in the central nervous system, resulting in depressant effects.
