Información del producto
- 4-Methoxycinnamic acid octyl ester2-Ethylhexyl 4-methoxycinnamate
Octyl 4-methoxycinnamate (OMC) is an organic compound that is used in wastewater treatment. It is also a potent skin sensitizer and can cause allergic contact dermatitis. The genotoxic effects of OMC have been studied in vitro, where it showed the ability to induce DNA mutations and chromosomal aberrations. OMC also has synergistic effects with UV radiation, which increases the risk of skin cancer. OMC can cause immunological sensitization, autoimmune diseases, and genotoxicity in humans when it is absorbed through the skin or inhaled into the lungs. This chemical has been shown to cause genetic damage in human serum at concentrations as low as 0.1 ppm, with a no observed adverse effect level of 1 ppm.
