Phosphomolybdic acid ammonium salt hydrate is a radioactive marker that emits positrons. It is used in immunocytochemistry, cytogenetics and radionuclide analysis. The biological sample is analysed for the presence of phosphomolybdic acid ammonium salt hydrate by detecting its radioactivity or by using a scintillation counter to detect its gamma activity.
