Descripción

3-Phenyl-2-propyn-1-OL is a hydrocarbon that belongs to the class of silicone. It has antiviral properties and can be used as a treatment for HIV. 3-Phenyl-2-propyn-1-OL is susceptible to light and should not be exposed to direct sunlight or artificial light sources for extended periods of time. 3-Phenyl-2-propyn-1-OL has been shown to react with a number of other chemicals in solution, including heteroaromatic compounds, propargylation reagents, hydroxamic acids, and other organic solvents. This compound also reacts thermodynamically with hydrochloric acid at elevated temperatures.
