• Descripción: 4-Chloro-3,5-dimethylphenol is a disinfectant that is used to sterilize equipment and surfaces. It has been shown to have inhibitory properties against bowel disease, such as colitis and ulcerative colitis. 4-Chloro-3,5-dimethylphenol also has antibacterial efficacy against infectious diseases. This compound reacts with copper chloride to form copper chloride hydroxide, which can be used as a disinfectant by reacting with the membrane of bacteria and viruses. 4-Chloro-3,5-dimethylphenol has long been studied for its toxicity in animals and humans. The results from these studies show that it does not cause any reproductive or developmental effects in animals or humans at doses up to 2000 mg/kg. There are no reports of carcinogenicity or mutagenicity in animal studies.
