1H,1H,2H,2H-Perfluorooctanethiol (PFOT) is a fluorescent probe that can be used to evaluate optical properties. It has been used in optical imaging and transduction pathways. This probe can be synthesized by electrospinning and is hydrophobic with a low fluorescence quantum yield. PFOT also exhibits size-exclusion chromatography and photoelectron incorporations.
