Descripción:2-Phenyl-1,3-propanediol (2PP) is a drug that has been shown to have significant cytotoxicity in animal studies. It has been used as an effective dose for the treatment of diabetic neuropathy and cerebellar granule tropate. 2PP is a precursor to gamma-aminobutyric acid (GABA), which is an amino acid that inhibits nerve impulses in the brain. 2PP has been shown to inhibit the release of glutamate, which is an excitatory neurotransmitter found in the central nervous system and other parts of the body. This drug also blocks calcium channels, which regulate neuronal activity. 2PP has not yet been approved by the FDA for use as a pharmaceutical preparation or chemical reaction.
