• Descripción: Pyridin-2-sulfonyl chloride is a kinase receptor inhibitor that binds to and inhibits the activity of certain protein kinases. It is used in the treatment of cardiovascular disorders and can be administered intravenously or orally. Pyridin-2-sulfonyl chloride has been shown to inhibit tumor necrosis factor-α (TNF-α) production in vivo, which may be due to its ability to inhibit the release of proinflammatory cytokines from macrophages. This drug also has pharmacokinetic properties that are similar to those of other sulfonamides, with an elimination half life of about 2 hours. Pyridin-2-sulfonyl chloride is not reactive with amines, which makes it a useful reagent for organic synthesis.
