Descripción:H-Pro-Leu-OH is a model peptide that was synthesized as a potential inhibitor of protein synthesis. This peptide has been shown to inhibit the production of lactococcal peptidases and proteolytic enzymes, which are responsible for the hydrolysis of proteins. It binds to heparin binding site in the enzyme, preventing its interaction with heparin or other polysaccharides and inhibiting enzymatic activity. H-Pro-Leu-OH is also able to inhibit influenza virus infection by preventing viral penetration into cells.
