Descripción:PKI-tide is a potent, selective inhibitor of the calcium/calmodulin-dependent protein kinase. It inhibits the activity of this enzyme and prevents the activation of other protein kinases by this enzyme. PKI-tide binds to the ATP site of the calcium/calmodulin-dependent protein kinase and blocks the binding of ATP and calmodulin. This inhibition prevents the phosphorylation of target proteins, including myosin light chain in muscle cells.
