Descripción:H-Pro-Gly-Pro-OH is a peptide that is derived from the sequence of human proline-glycine-proline (HGP). It has been shown to have a number of physiological activities, including anti-inflammatory effects. This peptide can be used as a model compound for inflammatory genes and proteins. H-Pro-Gly-Pro-OH has been shown to inhibit the synthesis of inflammatory cytokines in mouse splenocytes and neutrophil recruitment in wild type mice. HGP also suppresses chemotactic activity and inhibits neutrophil migration in an experimental model. HGP has also been shown to reduce intracellular calcium concentration in cerebellar granule cells, which may be due to its ability to inhibit protein synthesis.
