Descripción:Peptide 74 is a synthetic drug that has been shown to inhibit the activity of matrix metalloproteinases, which are enzymes that break down collagen in the extracellular matrix. This peptide also inhibits cell invasiveness and migration. It has been shown to be effective at inhibiting cancer cell growth, although it does not affect normal cells. The peptide is a receptor for the LDL-receptor and inhibits LDL uptake into macrophages. The peptides have also been shown to inhibit angiogenesis and tumor growth in animals by blocking VEGF receptors.
