In vitro studies have shown that this peptide inhibits the expression of growth factors, such as platelet derived growth factor (PDGF), and inhibits PDGF activity. This peptide also has an inhibitory effect on nitroprusside, which may be due to its ability to inhibit PDGF expression. The inhibition of PDGF by this peptide may result in the potentiation of the effects of nitroprusside on blood pressure.
